Old Red Barn

I enjoy photographing old barns around the area where we live in Western Kentucky. This one is an old red barn that I saw on a drive in the country several months ago.  It hasn't been  shared until today. Take a look:

I'm sure this old barn has a story. Wouldn't you love to know it!

Thanks for stopping by - Judy.

  1. That's quite a tall looking barn. Wonder what it is used for.

  2. is always a stand out! This is a style that I would not see locally. Thanks Judy for stopping by, I you will stop back again.

  3. that was a different one. At first I thought the roof was broken but it seems to be built that way.
    Thanks for sharing.

  4. Maybe a corncrib? Hard to say here in KY!! Could be used for many things. I Love it!!

  5. That's a beauty. I like how it's wearing.

  6. Hi Judy, so nice to meet you, I enjoy seeing old barns and often wonder about their stories.

Thank you for visiting my blog and for your sweet comment. Have a blessed day.

  7. You are talkin' my language, lady!!! I LOVE old barns!!! For years I have taken countryside drives just to look at old barns and to take in the beauty of the nature around them. Living here in Missouri and right on the Kansas state line has afforded me that luxury, and I absolutely cherish it!!! There is so much to be said for old barns in how enchanting they can be. They all tell a story. This one's a beaut!!!

  8. Judy, I love red barns! Great photos!

  9. Judy, I love taking photos of barns, also. When we travel, I always look for barns, even along the expressways and take photos of them if they're unique or very old. Thank you for linking this up at Share Your Style!

  10. Great looking barn. Red is such a perfect color for barns.

  11. You see so many falling down - glad this oldie has taken a lickin' and kept on tickin'!

  12. I love old barns Judy and this one has such character! Oh, the stories it could tell. Thanks for sharing with SYC.

  13. So picturesque, and so poignant -- yes, old barns and abandoned houses always make me wish to know 'the rest of the story'.

  14. What a beautiful old barn! I'd love to know about its life and the families who have loved it! Thank you so much for sharing with Willy Nilly!
